BMW Manufacturing Co.
BMW Manufacturing is the largest employer of the Upstate of South Carolina. Out of hundreds of applicants and only about 120 available spots for an internship, I was fortunate enough to land one at BMW's Information Technology Research Center (ITRC) building in Greenville, SC where I was a graphic design/IT communications intern. Throughout my time there, I was put on a variety of tasks such as the creation of e-mail graphics, logos, programs, flyers, and video production/editing. My biggest accomplishment during my summer at BMW was the refresh of the new IT Americas logo that follows BMW's Corporate Identity which then led me to make the new PowerPoint template that would be used throughout the office for presentations.
Below are a few of my projects I worked on during my time there!
Juneteenth
Graphic Design/Typography Layout
During my internship, I had the opportunity to create all of the graphics for an office-wide Juneteenth celebration in the lobby of our building for all of our colleagues to come and hear about the history and meaning of Juneteenth.
Witness the Fitness
Icon Design/Logo Creation
Witness the Fitness is a challenge that was created to promote health and wellness throughout BMW Plant Spartanburg. Witness the Fitness rolled out to IT North Americas such as South Carolina, Ohio, Canada, and more! For this brief, I was given the task to create a website icon, header, and app icon. I took a take on the Olympic sports man while making the icon clean, simple, and modern.
For this part of the project, I was given the task to make "passport stamps" to signify when someone in the Witness the Fitness challenge got to a certain location based on how many steps they've gotten. I took a spin off of real passport stamps and created individualized stamps to signify other BMW IT Americas locations such as Woodcliff Lake, NJ, Spartanburg, SC, and Ontario, Canada.
Flyers
Graphic Design/Typography Layout
I created various flyers for events around the office, clubs for interns to join and outside-the-office events. This flyer was for a "Bring Your Pet To Work Day" that was taken place during my internship. These flyers were sent through email and posted around the office and we ended up having a great turn out!

FerebeeLane
FerebeeLane is a full-service advertising agency in the heart of downtown Greenville, SC. Here, I experienced first-hand agency work with clients by sitting in on meetings, participating in daily creative pitches and learning over the shoulder of extremely talented individuals in the creative field. From image editing for Le Creuset, to chicken tender billboards for Spinx, I touched a lot of the creative that was put out into the world from the agency. While they weren't my projects from start to finish, I learned an extremely valuable skill of time management working in a face paced environment like an agency. Overall, my experience here helped me realize what I want to do with my career: working as a creative in an agency! Below are some of the brands that I worked on at FerebeeLane.
With client work coming in and out daily, one of our tasks as an intern was working on an "internship project" where the group of interns came together throughout the whole semester to come up with a client who we thought aligned with FerebeeLane's clients. Below is a preview of our brand pitch deck about why we think Graza would be a great fit as a client for FerebeeLane.
My role in this project was to help with the creative aspect of this project, gathering information from Graza's social channels, and creating a cohesive vibe for the presentation. This was presented to the CEO and COO of FerebeeLane: Matt Ferebee and Josh Lane.
